Description
In the traditional connection of a fireplace, a large part of energy is taken away with the exhaust outside the chimney. One of the ways to reduce the temperature of exhaust gases, and thus increase the efficiency of the fireplace is to use accumulation discs that can recover up to 30% of escaping heat.
Accumulation discs force a spiral trajectory of exhaust gases, thus extending their path and removing heat from them. Due to the densely-placed heat radiators, they ensure good heat exchange with the air flowing through them. Eventually, more heat is used to heat rooms. Thus, the thermal efficiency of the heating system increases.
The discs are made of cast iron which is characterized by strong accumulation properties and heat transfer. They are mounted at fireplace inserts, using specially made supports. The weight of the discs is the protection against possible displacement, it ensures sealing the air flow ducts and a special system of slots. The number of discs depends on the planned characteristics of the furnace.
