Description
The expansion vessel with a self-draining valve is a hydraulic protection for a fireplace with a water jacket. Its task is to compensate for changes in water volume caused by changes in the temperature. The vessel is connected to the pipe network and receives water from the central heating installation when its volume increases due to the temperature rise.
The vessel is made of stainless steel. It consists of:
- a copper float with a valve to automatically refill the water system of the installation supplied by the fireplace with a water jacket or a fireplace with a water exchanger;
- brass assembly fittings ensuring tightness of the connection of overflow and expansion pipes.
NOTE! The vessels with plastic valves that have appeared on the market are not suitable for cooperation with fireplaces with a water jacket, because high temperatures deform the float.
