The modular storage system for the NORRA insert is a modern solution used to increase the energy efficiency of heating systems. It works by storing heat generated by the fireplace and then gradually releasing it into the environment, up to 4 hours after the fire has gone out.

The upper storage caps are made of concrete, which, thanks to its physical properties, can absorb a large amount of heat. While the fireplace is active and generating heat, the storage modules heat up, storing thermal energy within themselves. After the burning process is complete and the fire extinguishes, the accumulated heat is gradually released into the surroundings.

On the optional stabilizing base around the flue and outlet pipe, you can arrange up to 5 layers of modular storage caps (ready-made sets of 1, 3, or 5 layers of storage caps are available for purchase), which gives approximately 180 kg of storage mass.

The layers are stacked one on top of the other - without the need for separators.

The modularity of the entire structure means that by setting the appropriate number of storage cap layers, you can adjust the height of the entire structure to the building conditions.

One element weighs approx. 18 kg, and depending on the insert version, there is the option of adding layers in various configurations:

1-layer set: the possibility of arranging the upper accumulation caps(left + right) in one layer and obtaining approx. 36 kg of additional accumulation mass.

3-layer set: the possibility of arranging the upper storage caps (left + right) in three layers and obtaining approximately 108 kg of additional storage mass.

5-layer set: the possibility of arranging the upper storage caps (left + right) in five layers and obtaining approximately 180 kg of additional storage mass.
